Get your safety gear
You will need to get all your safety gear for your dirt bike & here are some quick links, to those essential safety elements: -
- An approved riding helmet (ACU approved)
- Eye protection
- Gloves
- Racing suit
The first ride principles are very similar to our Quad bike first ride, but you also need to be prepared that like riding a bike, a dirt bike has its own propulsion, so careful with the throttle on your first outing.
- Place the bike on an even level surface
- Put the ignition key into the bike on turn to ON
- Extend the choke lever
- Hold the brake lever and press the start button, to start the engine and pressing the throttle gently.
- When the engine seems to be running smoothly, close the choke
If you have a speed restrictor on your bike this is a good time to restrict the bike and then take you first ride.
Be careful and stay safe, always remember to wear your protective gear and above all, have fun!
